I’m back….

What up Tumblr world.

Sorry for my lack of Tumbls over the past few weeks.  9-5 + 5-9 work has been killin’ me, but hopefully it will pay off. 

If most didn’t know I have a start up record label, Be Easy Records (no affiliation with beeasyrecords.com) and we’ve got some major releases in the next few months, mainly The Vision the Kid Project!

Vision the Kid’s solo Debut Album is set to be released in August, but in the mean time, in collaboration with Be Easy Records, Vision the Kid is putting out an 8-track EP, as a prelude to the album.  The EP, titled, “You Ain’t Gettin’ Laid Dressed Like That” is set for a 11 June 2011 Release, with the show/party @ O’Gara’s Pub in St. Paul Minneapolis @ 9:00 PM which includes an Album Release, “Preliminary Hearings,” from The Council.  The show is gonna be poppin’ with a stacked lineup of Hip Hop.  Vision the Kid will be giving away FREE EPs.  You can’t make this stuff up, it’s gonna be crazy!

So, if you’re in the Twin Cities this weekend and you’re a supporter of local, independent music, PLEASE come out to O’Gara’s and you’ll receive a FREE, yes I said it, FREE Physical Copy of Vision the Kid’s EP, “You Ain’t Gettin’ Laid Dressed Like That” <——-(Click the link for a preview to the leaked cover!)  + Some free 8Bit Vision Stickers (Check out the Fan Posted Sticker Pics & the Travel Pics).  Even if you’re not in the Twin Cities but you’re close enough, I urge you to go to this show, we’ll find you a place to crash.  It’s finna be a giant party so all are welcome!

Be Easy Records also has an upcoming project with World Renowned Master Kaen Player from Lao, Ajahn Bounseung Synanonh to document and preserve the wonderful and traditional sounds of the Kaen.  This project is in collaboration with The Lao Heritage Foundation, a foundation very near and dear to my heart.  Whose mission is to preserve Lao Culture through the arts for future generations of Lao and Lao-Americans.  This Album will be an online only release out in September, so if you’re a world music enthusiast or have a place in your heart for Lao or SE Asia, you will love the sounds of Ajahn Bounseung Synanonh, playing the Lao Blues!  This man is the Ray Charles of Lao
