Republicans are pulling out some of their greatest hits of dirty tricks in Wisconsin.
Corporate front group Americans for Prosperity is mailing absentee ballots to Democrats in at least two districts with instructions to return the ballots after the election date.
We’re just one week out from Wisconsin’s recall elections and it’s more important than ever that we talk directly to voters on the ground to give them real information on when and where to vote. Can you join us and make calls to Wisconsin voters this weekend to help Get Out The Vote for next Tuesday’s election?

Scott Walker, not Interested in Friends with Benefits
Everyone loves friend with benefits. Everyone except Scott Walker, apparently.
We’re recalling Wisconsin State Senators today, tumblr. I can’t quite explain the atmosphere in Wisconsin today. People are FIRED up. Not only is Wisconsin creating state history, but United States history. This has been and I’m sure will continue to be an interesting process to witness.
I’d appreciate it if anyone who knows individuals in Wisconsin would pass this link on. This is your fight too. We rise and fall in this country as one.
Please make a stand and put the government in the hands of the proletariat and not in the pockets of corporate greed and power. We have a duty as citizens of this great nation to question the status quo, and to stand up to what we feel is wrong. Soldiers in Libya are using .50 bmg bullets on civilians. That’s the one on the left.
That’s beyond unsettling. I had a discussion with my brother, who’s currently training in the police academy, about weapons that law enforcement/the military uses. Do you want to know what police departments who even have these bullets use them for? Immobilizing vehicles and shooting through walls. If I remember correctly and have my physics right, .50 BMG bullets can be fired between 13-15,000 ft-lbf, which means they can apply a force of 13-15,000lbs through a given displacement of 1 foot. These bullets are designed to shred things much tougher than the human body.
Unbelievable.

this weekend i went to my second Wellstone training & my first Camp Wellstone in Madison. I must say it was pretty awesome. Not only was the training really helpful but there was a ton of Oshkosh representation there! If you’re not familiar with Wellstone you should check it!
Paul Wellstone was an amazing person. I didn’t know this existed until now and I couldn’t think of a better person/activist like @lewisje who should attend a weekend training session on grassroots politics for activists.

He donated money to three Democratic candidates last week, potentially violating NBC’s rules. Somewhere, Bill O’Reilly and Karl Rove are giving each other a high five.
This is ridiculous. In an age in which the Supreme Court has ruled that money is speech, and corporations have the right to talk as loudly as their bank account allows, to say that an individual should have less political rights than the company he works for is absurd.
I’m not the biggest Keith Olbermann fan but +1 on Mark’s comment.
The biggest con in America right now is the Tea Party hating “The Media” while defending “Fox News” which gave millions in campaign contributions to the GOP.
These same people want to give corporations the same rights an individual has, and strip the individual of those rights.
Useful idiots.
